Working from home requires consideration of posture, equipment and work habits to avoid the risk of musculoskeletal injury. Not doing so can result in discomfort and symptoms that have long reaching impacts.
If you are an employer, you have a responsibility to provide education on safe work practices and to identify and mitigate potential hazards. If you are self-employed, you know the importance of being at your best. Poor work practices can lead to discomfort that affects your ability to get things done! Work shouldn't hurt. Whatever your situation, we have a virtual assessment option to assist you working safely in your home workspace. |
"Carrie came to my home office and provided an ergonomic assessment and set my office up properly. While I still have to be careful, there has been a dramatic decrease in the aches and pains I regularly experience after a long day of typing. I've followed Carrie's recommendations and follow the simple steps she set out to make sure my work space allows me to be as effective as possible."
